About the Chamber

The Chamber of Commerce serves a variety of purposes for its members and the general public. Overseen by the Board of Directors, the Chamber acts as an advocate for local commerce in state, local and national government. The Chamber also provides the public with detailed knowledge about Ellensburg: its history, its merchants, relocation opportunities and its surrounding areas. Marketing & Exposure Opportunities

Membership means automatic access to thousands of people through listings in our Chamber Directory, our Web Site, and in our Chamber Directory, Tourism Guide and Chamber Map. Advertising in our newsletter is an effective and inexpensive way to reach the heart of Ellensburg's business community. For even greater impact, members can have a full-page flyer inserted in the newsletter and direct-mailed to over 400 community members.

Networking Opportunities

Business contacts are crucial to succeed in today's world. Chamber membership allows you to meet other professionals at Member Luncheons and Seminars and at our popular Business After Hours evening gatherings. Hosting a Business After Hours function is also a superb way to introduce your business to the commercial community. Besides addressing issues, participation on a key Chamber Committee or Task Force forges friendships and contacts with other professionals.

Business Referral and Support

The Chamber fills thousands of requests for referral information every year by phone, fax, over the Internet, and by mailing out Business Directories and New Resident Packets. All members may also put their brochures in the racks in our office, free of charge. Members can receive pre-printed mailing labels for sending information to the entire Chamber membership, and we offer the use of our Bulk Mail Permit.

Special Discounts

Chamber members receive an exclusive 20% discount on Ellensburg Telephone Long Distance calls. Members can also take advantage of a variety of other services like our group health insurance plan and discounted credit card processing.

Sponsorship of Events & Programs

Each year the Chamber is responsible for a variety of special events and programs such as our Rodeo kick off breakfast, and the bite of the 'burg to welcome incoming Central Washington University students each fall. The Chamber-Rotary Auction is one of the prominent social and charitable events of the year and Leadership Ellensburg takes an annual class of current and future leaders through a 9-month intensive study of our community. In addition to other events, there's also the Moments to Remember Holiday Festival which lights up Ellensburg and brings thousands of people downtown with parades, Santa, and drawings for shopping certificates.

Chamber membership opens the door to a variety of other services and benefits. To name just a few, it gives members an effective business advocate to state, local, and national governments. The Chamber is a resource center for rules, regulations, phone numbers, addresses, and other information. The calendar of events tells businesses what's happening and lets them plan promotions accordingly. Our member health insurance is tailored specifically to small businesses and the cost of membership is deductible as a necessary business expense.
